Why we exist
Finding senior care in South Florida is uniquely hard. The region has one of the largest and most diverse senior populations in the country, with thousands of licensed providers spread across three counties and dozens of cities. Quality varies enormously between providers holding the very same Florida license, pricing is opaque, and the decision usually arrives during a crisis — a fall, a hospital discharge, a dementia diagnosis — when families have the least time to research. On top of that, South Florida adds a layer most of the country doesn't: for a huge share of families here, the right home is the one where a parent can be cared for in Spanish, with familiar food and customs. We exist to make that search clearer, faster, and free.
How the service works
It starts with a conversation. One of our advisors spends about 15 minutes understanding the situation — the level of care the person needs, a realistic budget, the city or neighborhood you're focused on, the timeline, and language and cultural preferences. From there, we build a short list: two or three Florida AHCA-licensed providers that actually match, not a spreadsheet of twenty. We coordinate the tours, join them when it helps, and ask the questions families often don't know to ask — about overnight staffing, what care needs would force a move-out, the all-in monthly cost in writing, and the provider's hurricane and generator plan. When you've chosen, we help with the paperwork and check in through the first weeks of the transition.
We do not blast your information out to a dozen facilities. Your details stay with our local South Florida team, and we share only what's necessary, only with the specific providers we're matching you to.
Our team
We're a small, local group rather than a national call center. The Miami Senior Advisor Care Team leads placement and specializes in matching families to communities that fit clinically, financially, and culturally. We handle benefits navigation — Florida SMMC Long-Term Care Medicaid, VA Aid & Attendance, and the paperwork in between. How we're paid — and why it's free for you
Miami Senior Advisor is a paid referral service. When we match a family to a provider and a placement is made, that provider pays us a one-time fee. Families pay nothing — before, during, or after — and our fee never increases your rent or care charges. Just as important, being paid on placement does not mean we'll push you toward whoever pays; we refer only to providers with active, clean AHCA licenses, and we tell families honestly when something isn't a good fit. The South Florida market we know
Our advisors work this region every day, and that local knowledge is the whole point. We know that Hialeah and Doral families usually need Spanish-first care with Cuban or Venezuelan food; that Aventura and parts of Hollywood have strong demand for kosher options; that Fort Lauderdale has a large LGBTQ+ community that values affirming care; and that the western communities of Boynton Beach and Delray Beach hold some of the densest concentrations of retirees in the nation. We know which hospitals anchor which neighborhoods, and why a community within 10–15 minutes of an emergency room matters.
